There is no sun shine for GM, as job losses increases!

U.S. companies shed 742,000 jobs in March, Employers have been forced to cut back production and slash jobs as consumers at home and abroad have hunkered down and demand has withered.

G.M. is closing plants and laying off thousands of jobs because of huge losses and declining market share. G.M. will have to cut far more than the 47,000 jobs it promised. G.M.’s corporate structure could also look considerably different in a couple of months. And G.M. is in the verge of filing bankruptcy unless other funding comes up to rescue its business.

My team will be working closely with GM to produce a better business plan. They must ask themselves: Have they consolidated enough unprofitable brands? Have they cleaned up their balance sheets, or are they still saddled with so much debt that they can't make future investments? - Obama
