Diehard Rajini fans celebrated the release of 'Kuselan' in sp ectacular fashion at the Albert Theater bursting crackers, performing milk abhishekam on the superstar's cutouts, distributing sweets and of course dancing in ecstasy.
The Karnataka region Tamil rights for the film has been bought by Mr. Niranjan with a price range of Rs.1.5 to 2 crores.As expected the crowd for the 4.30 pm show of 'Kuselan' was not all that good because of the eclipse. The movie is expected to do very well in Karnataka as well.
With all decks cleared for the release of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's film 'Kuselan' on Thursday evening after the actor expressed regret about the statements he had made in a protest meeting in Chennai, the movie released amidst fanfare in Bangalore and elsewhere in Karnataka.
Rajinikanth told Kannada channels in Hyderabad that comment 'kick them' made during the Hogenakkal row was targeted at lumpen elements and stressed he was not at all referring to Kannadigas and pro-Kannada organizations fighting for the cause of the language.
'By expressing his regret, Rajnikanth has showed his greatness. We no longer oppose the release,' KRV president Narayana Gowda said. 'It is going to be a smooth screening for Kuselan,' said V S Suresh, vice president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. 'The matter has been resolved,' he said.
